Shine@Tuas South is a B2 industrial development located at the gateway of Tuas Mega Port, supporting steady movement of people and goods throughout the day and night.

The building management engaged us to upgrade the staircase lighting system to improve consistency, enhance safety, and reduce energy usage.

The project covered Phase 1 and 2 works across 7 staircases, where microwave sensor LED T8 Tube lights were installed to provide reliable illumination while reducing unnecessary energy consumption during low-traffic periods.

During the assessment, we discovered that part of the incoming power supply intended for emergency lighting had been used within the general lighting circuit.

This required careful tracing, separation, and reconnection to ensure the system was properly configured for both normal operation and emergency scenarios.

The completed upgrade delivered consistent lighting coverage across the staircases, improved operational efficiency, and approximately 30% reduction in energy usage, supporting both safety and long-term cost savings for the facility.
