Pre-Project: Before Contacting STARLED
Complete Replacement of 12 Metres High Cylinder Downlight in Indoor Atrium
Embarking on a journey of innovation and sustainability, STARLED secured a pivotal tender for lighting upgrades. In the initial assessment, it was evident that the lights were grappling with inefficiencies, with only 20% of lights operational, as you can see from the image here. Those circled in red show the lights that are not functioning at all or barely lit up.
The challenge was clear: to revitalize these spaces while prioritizing energy conservation. Charged with the task of optimizing illumination while curbing energy consumption, the team embarked on a journey of ingenuity and innovation. The existing High Ceiling Cylinder Lights, powered by 150W metal highlights, were ripe for an upgrade. With a keen focus on energy savings, the team set out to provide a solution that would not only illuminate the spaces effectively but also reduce power consumption.
Project Installation
Precision planning and rigorous testing were paramount.
Mock-ups were meticulously crafted to showcase how the proposed lighting scheme would deliver a targeted 500 lumens on the ground floor, ensuring optimal visibility and ambiance. Customization was key, with the new cylinder lights tailored to seamlessly integrate into existing brackets while maintaining a precise 24-degree beam angle.
Every detail, from color temperature and fitting to bracket design and beam angle, was fine-tuned to suit the unique demands of the Indoor Atrium. Furthermore, adjustments were made to existing drivers to enhance energy efficiency and light distribution.
After multiple onsite visits and various testing were made, a prototype cylinder light was custom-made for onsite evaluation, facilitating iterative improvements and enhancements. Once the prototype was installed and was approved by client, a comprehensive order was placed.
Even during the installation for the mock up Cylinder Light, this Boom Lift was used for it.
After the mass order of the approved Cylinder Lights have arrived, installation were done with using a Scissor Lift by us, which requires a licensed operator to work at height that our men have the required license for it.
Project Completion
Through a combination of innovation, customization, and strategic planning, STARLED embarked on a mission to not only illuminate spaces but to transform them into beacons of efficiency and sustainability. As the project unfolded, ARC would stand as shining examples of how thoughtful lighting solutions can enhance environments while reducing energy consumption, paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable future
