Comparison of New and Old LED Street Lights
We were approached with a pressing issue at LaunchPad @ One-North: their street lights had deteriorated beyond usage, posing a significant safety hazard due to unlit pathways. Tasked with the challenge of revitalizing their lighting infrastructure, we leveraged our expertise to deliver an efficient, sustainable solution.
Upon inspection, it was evident that the most of the street lights has reached its end of its product life. This resulted in entire sections of the pathway being plunged into darkness. Our priority was to restore illumination swiftly and effectively, ensuring the safety and convenience of everyone at LaunchPad @ One-North.
Project Installation
We proposed a solution focusing on replacing the LED components while retaining the existing housings. This approach required meticulous attention to detail, especially regarding the spigot’s specifications to ensure a perfect fit within the current housings.
Installation required the use of Boom Lifts in order to manage the height to reach the Street Lights for installation.
Technical Specifications:
- Initial Condition: The old street lights operated at 163 watts.
- New Solution: We introduced 120-watt LED lights with a luminous efficacy of 150 lumens per watt.
- Energy Efficiency: This change resulted in a 26% reduction in energy consumption while delivering 18,000 lumens per street light, significantly enhancing the brightness.
Advantages of the New System:
- Brighter and More Efficient: Despite the lower wattage, the advancements in LED technology allowed us to provide a brighter lighting solution with reduced energy consumption.
- Durability: Our high-quality materials ensure longevity. The IP66 rating guarantees protection against heavy rain, making the lights reliable in all weather conditions.
- Advanced Components: The use of Inventronics drivers ensures optimal performance and longevity.
Project Completion
We are pleased to report the successful completion of the street light installation at LaunchPad @ One-North. The new LED street lights are designed for durability and energy efficiency, significantly improving nighttime brightness and safety. Each light delivers 18,000 lumens, ensuring a well-illuminated environment. This project underscores our dedication to delivering high-quality, sustainable lighting solutions.
